The inventor, a pet lover and owner of a friendly Yellow Labrador Retriever named "Bentley" encountered a problem as do many pet owners today. Bentley was "teething" and enjoyed the soft exterior of the backyard water hose. In an effort to protect Bentley and keep from replacing the water hose on a regular basis, the search was on for a for a water hose that was impervious to a dog’s bite or "chewing".
